Carrier Access Partners with Cox Communications
to Support the 2008 Super Bowl

Boulder, CO – January 30, 2008 – Carrier Access® Corporation (NASDAQ: CACS), a leading provider of data and voice transport solutions, today announced that Cox Communications selected Carrier Access’ Adit® 600 to provide support for digital communications for the Super Bowl. The Adit 600 is a multi-service delivery terminal platform that will allow Cox Communications to support a large number of phone lines, digital communications and security within a short time frame, delivering critical dependability and efficiency for the most important sporting event of the year.

The Adit 600 solution will be used to relay critical communications such as radio broadcasts and commentary back to broadcaster’s stations. The Adit family of products are capable of supporting VoIP, IP Routing, Stateful Firewall, VPN as well as Serial Interface applications within the same proven platform delivering robust, secure and reliable communication solutions. This particular solution was chosen because of its high reliability and flexibility. The use of digital communications links is essential for high quality audio links that have additional content.
