Mobile operators are continually seeking ways to reduce operational expenses (OPEX) and increase ARPU (Average Revenue per User). Due to the large costs of T1/E1 transport, which can be 20-30% or more of an operator’s OPEX, the backhaul network is a prime target for cost savings.
